Calamigos Ranch Wedding

Becky and Chris’s Calamigos Ranch Wedding was full of timeless romance and a deep-rooted love for their families! After meeting with Becky and Chris, I knew why they had chosen this rustic venue. The natural beauty of the venue would be the perfect place for them to say their I do’s and join their two families as one.

The story

The couple’s classic and minimalist style was always at the forefront of their planning. They wanted to make sure they created the right ambiance to encourage their guests to enjoy the party. We focused on making sure nothing was too overly decorated, and that the venue created a guest experience to remember.

These two originally met in high school. And life found a miraculous way of bringing them back together at just the right time. Their endless loyalty to their kids, support of one another’s dreams, and love of awesome 90’s hip hop music made for a magical and intimate celebration.

The setting

The Birchwood room is like a hidden oasis at the beautiful Malibu venue. The ceremony space features a limestone waterfall set as the backdrop of a beautiful grass meadow. It was a crisp October afternoon when the bride walked down the aisle. Delicate blush and burgundy blooms in her hands and a smile lighting up the entire ceremony space.

After the intimate wedding ceremony, their 80 guests were invited up to the patio deck where twinkle lights hung from the canopy of oaks trees. The bride and groom chose to accent their table settings with arrangements of neutral-toned roses, fresh greenery, and a burgundy napkin to freshen up the timeless setting.

The Style

Becky and Chris have a huge love of music. They wanted to make sure their guests enjoyed the evening just as much as they did. Their DJ got the guests involved on the dance floor with fan-favorite sing-along songs, and a fun kiss-off between guests. The newly married couple even got to hear marital advice to last decades! And of course, the couple got down on the dance floor to some of their favorite hip hop favorites!

Providing wedding management for Becky and Chris’ wedding day introduced me to this amazing venue and some talented vendors. It was breathtaking to bring this love story to life.
