The reception alone was filled with so many joyous experiences including cash cannons, sentimental toasts, and an epic dance party!

The couple chose Hartley Botanica in Somis, CA as their venue for several reasons. They fell in love with its enchanting gardens and appreciated the spacious layout that allowed their guests to explore every corner. The serene beauty of the surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for their romantic affair. The all-inclusive packages offered at Hartley Botanica also allowed them to confidently make decisions about their wedding day and the experience they were providing their guests.

In terms of color palette, Kristina and David opted for a classic and timeless approach. They selected a neutral base of greens and whites, which they elegantly accented with blush and navy blue. The result was a sophisticated and refined aesthetic that complemented the venue’s natural beauty.

From the start, it was clear that Kristina and David wanted to incorporate their heritage and passions into their wedding. During the cocktail hour, they donned traditional Korean wedding attire, captivating their guests who eagerly took photos with them. Dance the night away underneath twinkling string lighting at your reception. Paliuli Gardens boasts a beautifully landscaped lawn for a stunning alfresco dinner surrounded by lush gardens. Paliuli Gardens is the perfect tropical oasis. Your guests will have so much fun exploring the multiple waterfalls, vine-covered archways, fountains, aviaries, and beautifully landscaped grounds.

If you are looking for something a bit more intimate, The Lotus Tea Garden boasts several different spaces for gathering with a small group. With hand-paved walkways and a walk-through waterfall, you’ll find several corners to cozy up in at this Asian-inspired garden. The Lotus Tea Garden is available as an alternative reception space for a brunch wedding. This type of wedding day format is starting to become more popular as couples explore making their celebration a bit more unique. This garden oasis is the perfect space for hosting a group of 25 – 100 guests for an intimate wedding.

Designing Their Unique Wedding

As their wedding planner, I witnessed many special moments throughout the day. The energy was palpable, and it truly felt like a grand celebration. Despite the couple facing multiple postponements due to the pandemic, they never lost hope, and their determination to share this day with their loved ones radiated throughout the entire event.

Kristina and David discovered my wedding planning and design services through Instagram, and they chose to work with me because of my approach to building a solid wedding foundation based on your unique wedding purpose. I focused on designing a wedding that reflected their unique relationship, hobbies, and inside jokes. Together, we brainstormed ideas that went beyond the typical themes found on Pinterest, resulting in a wedding that was undeniably “so Kristina and David.”

Bringing Kristina and David’s wedding vision to life was a journey. Even amidst a pandemic reschedule, these two had the energy to put their relationship first, and kept thinking of new ways to infuse their couple style into what was one epic celebration!
