About The Venue

Welcome to Quail Ranch, a rustic family-owned ranch and garden nestled in Simi Valley just outside Los Angeles. The estate boasts a thriving avocado orchard and a variety of citrus trees, the perfect setting for a California wedding. At the heart of the property stands the Ranch House. This stunning Spanish Revival estate, built in 1933, absolutely elevates the space with a unique, elegant charm. This hidden gem boasts so many beautiful spaces with blooming gardens, lush lawns, and majestic oaks. Quail Ranch offers intimacy and al fresco elegance, making it an ideal setting for weddings.

Details

Maximum Guest Count: if you’d like to keep that intimate feel, the space is perfect for 50-100, but can host up to 200

Venue Features: outdoor-only spaces that include villa estate, orchard, rolling hills, and garden

Amenities: 2 getting-ready suites, guest restrooms, free locker storage for guests, built-in bar, bistro lighting, dancefloor

Music Curfew: 10 pm

Required Vendors: Catering, Bartending, Security, and Valet

Event Spaces at Quail Ranch

Ceremony:

As guests arrive at Quail Ranch, they enter along a beautiful tree-lined walkway that leads to a brick-paved patio terrace. The ceremony space is surrounded by a canopy of trees, bright and colorful bushes of blooms, and a grand staircase. 

Guests will enjoy refreshments upon arrival, including the famous ranch lemonade made fresh from lemons picked from the citrus grove on-site at Quail Ranch. The ceremony is perfectly backdropped against a large oak tree with branches that canopy to the ground.

Cocktail Hour:

After the ceremony concludes, guests are invited to ascend the grand outdoor staircase adorned with blooming jasmine and roses on either side. Cocktail hour takes place between the cozy lawn and paved driveway adjacent to the ranch house. Here you can invite your guests to enjoy a cocktail at the bar, snap a pic for your guest book, or relax in an elegant lounge.

Reception:

Your guests enter the reception area through a trellis filled with sweet-scented flowers. Tables encircle a majestic oak at the center of the reception space, with branches spanning out to create an intimate canopy. Glittering chandeliers and bistro lights hang from the tree branches, accenting the gorgeous European-inspired space.

You can utilize the built-in brick-pavers as your dance floor, or opt to add a rented dance floor in the space for a unique layout.

Required and Preferred Vendors

Clients are required to use the on-site catering team with Command Performance Catering. Along with full-service catering and standard rentals (chairs, tables, linens, tableware, and glassware), CPC can also provide bartending services. Clients may provide their own alcohol to be served if preferred. There is a catering minimum of 100 guests on Friday or Sunday, and a minimum catering count of 125 on Saturday. Command Performance Catering can also facilitate all upgrade rentals.

Special Tips to Consider for a Quail Ranch Wedding:

As a Los Angeles wedding planner who has worked at Quail Ranch and is a preferred vendor partner, I’ve got some insider tips for you when it comes to planning a Quail Ranch wedding.

1. Make time for sunset photos along the hillside behind the getting-ready cottage. This space boasts lush pampas grasses and the most vibrant bougainvillea for a stunning landscape. 
2. Don’t forget to add on optional rentals from the venue, including two different lounges for cocktail hour and hanging crystal chandeliers.
3. With a large wedding party, you will either need to extend your hours on-site at Quail Ranch or plan to get ready off-site at a nearby hotel.
