Nora + Ehsan’s Intimate Destination Celebration

Nora and Ehsan’s intimate destination wedding at the LINE Hotel in Los Angeles was filled with their love for travel, food, and people!

The two have a sweet spot for the LINE Hotel in Los Angeles as it’s industrial charm reminds them of their beloved Chicago. So naturally, they wanted to share a little bit of home with their guests. The modern and minimalist vibe of the Koreatown adjacent hotel fit perfectly with their personalities and couple style. They wanted to avoid any “excess frills” and stick with the concepts that they felt embodied their relationship. The people!

When I asked them what the most important aspect of their wedding was they shared:

“Family & friends. We are forever thankful to have such wonderful people in our lives, who have set strong examples for us to follow and have given us much love over the years. We are lucky in life and we want our friends and family to know how much they mean to us. We prefer the focus to be more so on our loved ones being with us. Instead of just the two of us in our own little world cutoff from our guests.”

And their wedding absolutely exuded community!

Their two families, already intertwined by their love story that sparked when the two met in high school, made everyone (including myself) feel right at home in the comfort of their genuine and open hearts. The joy that circulated throughout the event was absolutely tied into their foundation of knowing who they were at their core.

To accent the evening focused on relationships, the couple chose to forgo a DJ. Instead, they added The Essentials, a class jazz trio, to their event playlist. The trio played while guests enjoyed cocktail hour out on the luscious greenhouse styled patio at the LINE Hotel after the wedding ceremony. Everyone transitioned inside for the dinner reception, where jewel-toned modern floral arrangements designed beautifully by Foxtail Florals decked the tables. Although it was a minimalist affair, the decor shone brightly while not overshadowing the main cause for celebration!

My favorite customized element of their wedding day was their cocktail napkins. The couple had several different styles printed, but each one included all of their guest’s names! It was a beautiful tribute to the individuals in their lives who influenced and loved them. I so enjoyed watching the guest’s eyes get so big when they saw their name, pointing it out to others around them.

“We planned our wedding in LA from across the country and Sarah was a big help in finding vendors that were a great match for us. Sarah is easy to work with; my husband and I aren’t super traditional and I never felt like Sarah was bewildered by any of our choices/preferences. I think Sarah can read people well and that serves her in helping to identify what is important to a couple and also what the couple may need more help with based on their personalities. “
